Using the browser, width of all characters are calculated and is used to determine pixel-precise width and height of text placed with maptext, or any other way of putting text on the screen.

testking 700-260 Merely commenting out and about before the multiplication apparently corrects the condition.

There may be additional going without running shoes, I'd presume, although We've certainly not had sleeping as well as my frustration helps prevent me personally via sampling additionally currently.

I noticed you had commented that letterSpacing was unreliable. The only place that I see you using it seems to cause a problem. Currently, the demo does not properly display text.

letterSpacing = 0
return width + textLen * letterSpacing - letterSpacing + 1

Simply commenting out before the multiplication seemingly fixes the problem.

There's more to it, I'd assume, but I've not had sleep and my headache prevents me from delving further at the moment.
